Two half-decent Utility Beers I’ve run into lately are Samuel Adams Winter Lager and Stella Artois. Both are commendable lagers, best taken with a hearty meal and convivial friends.
Might I recommend a visit to the Stella Artois website? It is rather entertaining and interactive.

Lamentations on Chemistry 
mmm…Ive been a Stella fan for awhile now. Pretty good stuff. Its kinda like Bud Light in London, in that every pub has it on tap.
Stella is one of my favorites. 🙂
It’s known as Wife Beater in the UK due to its often bringing out the violent side to people drunk on it. That and it causes awful hangovers even in relatively small quantities. Best stick to German beers, I think. They sorted out laws banning anything but your basic beer ingredients going into your pint way back in the 1600’s or something.
Yikes.
