et Al. A Gathering in Memory of Albert I. Meyers.

Colorado State University has announced “a gathering in memory of a remarkable life” in honor of University Distinguished Professor Albert I. Meyers. It will be held Friday, February 22, 2008, at 10:30 a.m. in the Arizona Room at the Hilton Fort Collins. You may recall that this hotel is 2 blocks south of the Chemistry Building.

RSVP:       csn (at) lamar dot colostate dot edu

This event is being managed by the Director of Development at the College of Natural Sciences at CSU. (I am hesitant to post names and phone numbers that can be collated by web crawlers)

I’ll definitely be there.

So, besides his Chemistry was he a decent human being? Contrast with the sociopath E. J Corey.

No Joke, was he a role model rather than a sniveling thug hiding behind his tenure? Did he inspire more people than he broke?

Sad commentary for a field when I must ask such questions.

    Hi Jeff,

I guess we all have to come to terms with how we feel about people. I remember a lot of good times with AIM and with the benefit of hindsite I have to say that I was lucky to be there.
