Don’t forget to see the artistically synchronized geysers next to the roman castle across from a city in France. Andrea Bocelli’s Con te partirò still gives me goosebumps when I hear it on my ipod.

Pictures are a must. Have a good vacation, although LV is one of my least favorite places in the world. You see, the thing with Vegas is the whole ‘road trip to Vegas thing’. Once you pass through the forbidden zone to get there you realize why the city is surrounded by a near impenetrable desert.

Keeping us out or something in?

Since those those blue heads and chunks of concrete are “happening in a large city in southern Nevada”, make sure they “stay in that large city in southern Nevada”. Especially the concrete. It’s not been a year since the 35W bridge collapse and 35E has it own case of a bridge falling down. Life in a northern town.

Don’t miss Dale Chihuly’s installation at the Bellagio, and the gardens further in with laminar flow nozzle fountains. Lunch at Planet Hollywood’s buffet – e.g., pasta in lobster sauce at the end away from where they start you. Dinner atop the Eiffel Towerette with advanced reservations.

Memo from Gallup, NM. Took the “special” dam tour. Got to wear yellow plastic helmets and go deeper into the dam @ $30 a head. The bridge construction next to Hoover dam is delayed considerably. Looks like a difficult job to pull off.

The Luxor is not a good place to stay- it is merely tacky.

Note on Vegas- It’s not the steak, it’s the sizzle.
